Car Insurance Basic Policies
When you have a car, you are
facing the possibility of an accident that might damage your car. And if
it already happened, your car insurance policy will save you in terms
of financial support. The car insurance company will cover the expenses
of car repair or even replace it with another car if the damage is non repairable. Some basic things you might need to know before you are
going to purchase an insurance policy are medical coverage,
comprehensive coverage, collision coverage, liabilities policy, and
motorist coverage.
The most expensive coverage you are going to
purchase is collision coverage. In this coverage, the insurance company
will focus on the collision damages in your car. Medical coverage will
cover the medical bill for you. This coverage can be considered as a
health insurance policy ( it includes personal injury protection, child
care, and funeral costs. Comprehensive coverage is related to natural
reasons or disasters like vandalism, theft, or animal attacks. This
coverage is also important because not all damages are coming from
accidents.
The liabilities policy covers any third party involved
in an accident ( property like walls or traffic signs that has been
damaged, other people injured ). This policy is the complete basis of
car insurance. Motorist coverage covers uninsured and under insured
motorist protection. An uninsured driver did not have any insurance or
had insurance that did not meet minimum liability requirements, or whose
insurance company denied their claim or was not financially able to pay
it. An uninsured driver can be a hit and run driver. An under insured
driver is a person who meets minimum legal financial responsibility
requirements but did not have payment limits high enough to cover the
damage he caused.
All of these basic policies are important to protect your financial security in times of accidents.
